Screening That Drives Care in Educational Settings
Empowering schools and communities to identify and support students early, accurately, and with compassion.
Why Screening Matters?
Mental health struggles often remain hidden — until they turn into crises.
Schools are on the front lines, yet often lack the insight and resources to intervene in time.
How Can MARS Help?
Meret Assessment and Reporting System (MARS) was created to make mental health screening in schools clear, consistent, and easy.
It works for both school-wide screenings and individual student assessments.
The process is simple and comfortable for students, helping them answer honestly — even about difficult topics like hopelessness, anxiety, or thoughts of self-harm.
For schools and clinicians, MARS provides a clear picture of which students may need extra attention or support.
By simplifying the screening process, MARS helps educators and providers focus on what matters most: caring for students.
From Screening to Real Support
Students who receive care in schools are far more likely to access mental health support overall.
MARS turns data into action — connecting students to timely care, guiding diagnosis, and supporting better outcomes for both individuals and schools.
How does screening work?
Screening doesn’t end with data - it’s the first step toward care.
Early Detection
Identifies students who may need help before issues escalate.
Informed Care
Combines screening data with clinical insight for better decisions.
Financial Support
Enables reimbursement where available, supporting sustainable care.
Lifelong Impact
Early intervention can lead to long-term mental health benefits.
Case Study: Rural Behavioral Health Institute
Our partner, the Rural Behavioral Health Institute (RBHI), uses MARS to identify and support students with mental health symptoms including risk of suicide.
Every student who screens at high risk receives same-day follow-up care.
Since 2023, RBHI has screened over 70,000 young people with 73% reduction in high-risk suicidal ideation or behaviors by providing 100% same-day follow-up for high-risk students.
Expanded to 4 states: Montana, Georgia, Illinois, Oregon
